Erika is currently the Executive Director of the Bloomingdale School of Music (New York City). She provides vision, direction, and oversight of the program at the core of the school’s educational mission, oversight of finances, and external affairs. She also oversees the Leadership Team, External Affairs Team, and finance and operations support. Finally, she works with the board and leadership staff to develop the annual and long-range strategic vision and to support board development.

Erika has served on committees for the NYC AIE Roundtable since 2015 and as a Board Member since 2017. She was the Board Secretary from 2018 - 2021 and has served on the following committees: Executive, Teaching Artist Affairs, Communications, Strategic Planning, Board Development, Equity Diversity and Inclusion Taskforce.
Go to linkErika joined the staff of Opening Act as the Director of Operations in July 2015, becoming the Director of Operations and Communications the following year. She was promoted to Deputy Director in 2019 and worked closely with the Executive Director to strengthen and manage existing operational infrastructure, organizational culture, and external messaging. Additionally, she served as the Acting Executive Director during Fall 2018 and a teaching artist during her tenure.
Go to linkErika has been a Teaching Artist for over 10 years, serving in various New York City public schools as well as out-of-state programs. She teaches drama, music, musical theatre, and more.
Erika began working for The New Victory Theatre in 2012 as the Education Department Assistant, working cross-departmentally to support and coordinate education programs. She was promoted to Education Department Coordinator in 2013 and provided administrative support for the department, collaborated with the Finance Department, and coordinated HR systems, teaching artist recruitment, department communications and professional development for the New 42nd Street Apprentice Program.

She then joined the Board of Directors as the Communications Director and became the Editor-In-Chief of the volunteer run AATE publication Incite/Insight, relaunching it as an online magazine in 2018. In 2019 she joined the the NYC National Conference Planning Committee, coordinating the marketing and offsite events.
Go to linkErika joined the Arts Education Advisory Council in 2018. In this role, she advises Americans for the Arts’ staff on trends in the field to create programs and services. She was the Chair of the Research and Policy Committee in 2019.
Go to linkErika has been a performer and entertainer since birth. While primarily a vocalist, she has also performed as an actor and dancer. Erika sings a variety of music genres, including pop, jazz, group a cappella and musical theatre. After spending 2019 - 2012 as a singing server with Entertainment Cruises, she joined the singing group TSG from 2013 - 2015. Erika has performed in a variety of shows and productions in the NYC and Washington D.C. areas.
